ABOUT ME
As a clinical social worker, I am dedicated to helping individuals improve their emotional and psychological well-being. With over 20 years of social work experience, I have helped clients overcome a range of challenges, from relationship issues to life transitions and anxiety disorders. My approach is tailored to each client's unique needs, and I strive to create a safe and supportive environment for change. I am strength based and solution focused.
EDUCATION
- I received my Master of Social Work degree from San Diego State University, and am licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (LCSW #62884). I have received training in dialectical behavioral therapy, restorative practices, trauma informed practices, cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based stress reduction.
EXPERIENCE
I have worked in a variety of settings, including private practice, community nonprofits, university settings and public schools My experience has included providing individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and case management for clients of all ages. I have also provided clinical supervision to other mental health professionals.
SPECIALTIES
- My specialties include working with adults, young adults and adolescents. I have extensive experience helping clients with relationship issues, stress, grief and loss, anxiety disorders, and identity development. Therapy is offered utilizing a confidential and virtual platform.
